Founder and Executive Director
Pertulla, who is from Cameroon, has more than six years of experience in advocacy and feminist organizing; she has designed and coordinated projects dealing with education, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, peace and human rights. Pertulla is a survivor who has transformed her story into an empowering space for girls and women in Cameroon and sub-Saharan Africa; as a teenager, Pertulla founded Leap Girl Africa, a non-profit organization in Cameroon. She serves as the Women for Global Fund National Focal Point and has served as an SRHR lead of the Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network (CYGEN), and as a Theirworld Global Youth Ambassador and Advisory Group member, she actively promotes children’s education. Pertulla holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Yaounde II and is also a Mandela Washington Fellow 2021 alumna under the Civic Engagement track, University of Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoys journaling, dancing in private, cooking and trying new things on her afro hair. She speaks English, French, Pidgin English and Aghem (a local language).
