Ms. Fonyuy is a passionate communicator and an advocate against GBV, with nine years of dedicated experience in combating gender-based violence (GBV) through development communication.
Doubling as a freelance investigative journalist, Emeline has made significant contributions to international media outlets such as Deutsche Welle (DW), Associated Press, The New Humanitarian, and a couple others, focusing on issues affecting women, girls, and marginalized groups. In addition to her journalism experience, she hosts a podcast where she tackles challenging topics related to GBV and comprehensive sexuality education, aiming to foster awareness and dialogue within her community.
She holds a BSc in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Buea,(UB) Cameroon. Her extensive background in journalism and advocacy equips her with a unique perspective and expertise in raising awareness and driving change within the field of GBV. Ms. Fonyuy is one of the founding members of Leap Girl Africa.
