Girls’ Education, Leadership, and Empowerment

Leap Girl Africa is committed to promoting educational equity, developing leadership potential, and empowering girls to become change agents in their communities. By addressing barriers to education and enhancing leadership skills, we help girls rise as confident, capable leaders who can influence positive change.

1. Strategic Approach:

- Equitable Access to Quality Education

In line with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), our programs ensure that every girl, regardless of socio-economic status, has access to quality education and leadership training. We work with local schools, community leaders, and policymakers to remove barriers to education, such as financial constraints, cultural expectations, and safety concerns.

- Leadership Development:

Reflecting the Beijing Declaration’s call to empower women through education and the African Union’s focus on inclusive leadership, we train girls in leadership skills, critical thinking, and advocacy. This initiative enables young women to take on leadership roles and participate actively in their communities.

- Mentorship and Support Networks

We build support networks to mentor young girls, connecting them with female role models and leaders who inspire and guide them in their personal and academic journeys. This approach is crucial in fostering resilience, self-confidence, and a sense of community responsibility.

2. Our Impact:

576 individuals reached in 2023 through the UBL care project, which educated communities on preventing intimate partner violence (IPV) and fostering safer relationships.
Created five survivor support groups in urban and rural areas, providing ongoing emotional and social support for over 200 women.
Collaborated with local law enforcement and healthcare providers to facilitate 30+ training sessions on responding to SGBV cases effectively, increasing trust and support among survivors.
